Default Re: Incident at MGM this morning

[ QUOTE ]
that is some crap - since players chips are under the same cameras as the dealers rack - isn't the casino responsible for theft - and shouldn't they rightfully replace stolen chips? They do have more than enough... And, isn't that partly a reason we tip dealers - to watch our chips as well ... I mean c'mon

Well, I will agree that I think the dealer acted very poorly in this situation. If there was indeed a "blonde guy" at the table, and him and this mexican kid were joking about taking chips, then I can't for the life of me figure out how she did not keep an eye on them and the chips.
That is part of her job as I see it. ESPECIALLY if someone at the table is acting strange. Also very $hitty to claim someone is "your friend" just because you may be talking and joking with them at the table.

The whole deal went on for at least 20 minutes and I am just sitting there thinking, how long does it take to back up the tape from that table and see what the hell happened to the chips. If they made a false claim against the mexican, then I can understand why he would be pissed. At one point however, he started playing the racial card, and was yelling about how it was only because hiim and his friend were mexican. All in all an ugly scene and not handled well by the MGM staff, who I happen to like for the most part by the way......
