You are playing way higher than your bankroll can support. So far you've been lucky not to have a bad session. If you continue to risk your entire bankroll, it's inevitable that you'll loose it - think of yourself as continually playing "double or nothing". You can get 10 "doubles" in a row but one "nothing" ruins it all.
Even if you're just taking a small shot and moving back down if you lose, build up 100BBs before trying it out. With $250, you shouldn't be playing any higher than 1/2 and probably .5/1.
And yes, there's a decent differnce between 3/6 and 5/10.
