I found it unlikely that the guy with open Aces had trips, and fairly likely that he had very little underneath, so the raise on fourth was mostly for value. Since I was going to have position throughout the hand, barring some freakish occurrence, I thought it very likely that I'd be able to take a free card at some point if I wanted one. I don't think that the typical player at this level is going to know what I'm doing, and even if he does, so what? I'm getting more money in with a hand that should win a little more than its share.

I was a little hesitant in three-betting the river, and almost went for the over-call. This guy had just been calling along and then raised with a moderately junky board. In my experience, this often means a full house. As it turns out, he had two pair on fourth street and filled on the end.
