Default Re: Why more casinos need to implement this rule...

I don't understand the rule.

You're not allowed to play again until the next dealer?
This would be weird....and annoying to the players who want a full table.

Clarify further so that B&M novices like me understand what exactly you mean.

I played at the Wynn twice when I was in Vegas and they were doing an absolutely AWFUL time keeping our table full.
It was weird....the video-screen showed a wait-list of 15 people or so for 15/30....yet we had 3 open-seats and they weren't calling anybody.
We actually only had 5 players...because some other guy had left $1 at his seat, said he was going to get more money, and never returned for over an hour.

I don't mind playing short-handed....but the rest of the table was pissed that we were 5-handed when there was a lengthy list. One guy suggested we take a break until they fixed it and everyone agreed (I had to go to the little-boys' room anyway).
I made a phone-call as well and came back about 10 minutes later...and they STILL hadn't filled the seats.

I love the Wynn room...and actually like the extra space you get on the 9-handed tables.
I also believe that our situation was not a typical occurance for them. But the way the players had to practically beg the floor to fill the seats did not impress me.
Finally they picked up that one guy's dollar too.

I agree that changes should be made about players who sit-in, play 5 hands, sit-out for an hour, and then come back for 5 minutes.

I don't know why I feel like I'm one of the few players who is courteous enough to actually pick-up my chips if I'm going to leave.

Also - those getting the poker-room rate have to get their hours in at the tables somehow. So they leave their chips there so that they stay on the clock.
That...and the $1/hr food-comps might be a factor.
