You also have to remember that this had potential to be a 3 handed pot, which hurts her chances of winning although if she does she wins more money.
As far as waiting for aces goes, she can also wait for the next hand to raise with rags when there isn't going to be an obviously large confrontation. Ever consider that? According to your estimations, she still had more than 10x a betting round in her stack. Enough to keep some from taking a shot and coming over the top, or giving her, a player with a strong reputation, a chance at doubling up.
