I think your view of Giambi is wrong sublime. no one was complaining here in new york when he hit 40+ HRs in his first 2 seasons. Sure, he got caught roiding and it was all down hill from there, but at the time, it definately wasnt a bad move. (Just for reference, Giambi's contract should have been voided when he was caught, then the deal would have been [censored] beautiful.)
and now that he has almost gotten rid of that "a walk is as good as a hit" mindset, he's almost back to hitting .300. and if mattingly would teach him to hit the ball the other way....
