If you never open in EP or MP with something like 76s, it can't hurt to show, either he correctly assumes it's a one time thing and disregards it, which is EV neutral, or he thinks you're a clown, which shows a profit (assuming you like getting 3-bet more).
Before PT, PV, etc., I remember people making image plays like this all the time. I made some really terrible isolation raises because of it, so I know it can work, assuming anyone is really paying attention at this point.
