Muslims just want to be left alone to practice their religion.

This gross generalism of a statement demonstrates your utter ignorance with the issue of Islamic terrorism.

Niss, I am yet to hear any moslem fundamentalist say that he wants an Islamic world rule or implement Sharia in non-moslem countries (except Israel).

Osama and his followers has explained many times that they see US as the enemy in a battle for implementing their beliefs in moslem countries (not in the world).

This is not true at all. Read the statements of Ayman al-Zawahri. And even if it had any truth to it, that's far from saying that these folks just want to be left alone to practice their religion.

And Israel doesn't count?

This thread is about preventing terrorism in the US and not in Israel.

Not exactly, my good friend Dead made the statement about Muslims (which I am limiting to terrorists) just want to practice their religion and be left alone. That statement is untrue for a variety of reasons, including the fact of the existence of the State of Israel.

Moreover, Israel is very, very much relevant to any discussion about Islamic terrorism against the United States. Whether you support our policies vis-a-vis Israel or you are opposed to them, there can be little dispute that our strong support for the State of Israel is a major factor in the terrorists' desire to attack the US.
