You may discount the skill in poker, and generally it is exaggerated. Can it be denied though that Ungar was an extraordinary talent, and that the awe and celebrity with which he is showered is reasonable? He was peerless in gin, won the WSOP 3 times, and could card-count six shoes. Why do you choose to discredit him and sneer at his perception among poker enthusiasts?
