the value of 234x comes from when an A and another low card flops and you can go for a wheel or flush for high.

It's a very good hand then because having an A on board means someone else almost certainly has top pair and maybe twopair. So you can be freerolling them.

It's real value is that when you hit your hand, someone else is quite likely to have a second best hand. But if they have a second best hand, they might be jamming it, which you don't want yet.

I suppose it has some value in that you can bluff/semi-bluff representing an Ace, but others are usually too likely to have connected with a flop to make that wise.

so playing this hand is sort of like 22 in NLHE -- i want to see a cheap flop and try to bust someone. i think raising with it is bad.
