my general rule of thumb is to push any hand that im not willing to call a reraise with.. its ok to make this play with, say AQ (where you will insta call a push)..
in this case, I think your opp read you as weak when you did that, and he was correct. I think you had odds to call both pushes anyway (the first one especially).. and Qx isnt TOO bad a hand to have heads up.
