There's a starting hand chart
here that seems to generate a fair amount of agreement. If you go forward a couple of pages, you can find an excel version of a very similar chart that is easier to print.
Personally, I didn't find the consensus starting hand chart to be surprising at all. If you were in a full ring game and the first four players all folded, how would your hand evaluation change? If you understand the answer to that question, you're golden.
