Default Re: quick AA question

[ QUOTE ]
i remember reading a post stating that if one has AA and everyone at the table calls (8 or 9 person table, cant remember which) then the person with the AA has zero chance of winning.

[/ QUOTE ]
Complete nonsense.

[ QUOTE ]
my question is this: is this assuming that all of the people at the table are somewhat experienced?

[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, experienced players can make you lose with red aces by concentrating hard and looking mean. Fold red aces preflop.

What is true is that you can arrange 9 other hands so that a player with AA has very little chance to win, even without another player holding AA. Here is an example I constructed:

5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 15227 7.56 186138 92.43 11 0.01 0.076
7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 18683 9.28 182682 90.72 11 0.01 0.093

However, in the vast majority of situations, it is ridiculous to fold AA preflop. It wins far more than its fair share in multiway pots.
