i don't think it's a stupid question at all. obviously pot odds are critical. they're the foundation for alot of decisions, some easy and some not.

i think the most useful thing is putting the math together with your reads, and generating a weighted average of your chances to win versus the range of hands your opponent could hold based on the way he played the hand(or how he plays in general).
