Checking the flop isn't all that bad as long as button is aggressive and you decide to c/r. Check-calling the flop with this many callers sucks.

I would have to be 100% sure button is betting here. The flop getting checked through with six players would be terrible.

On a dry flop like this, you can expect overcards to bet fairly frequently. They'll also raise a bet frequently. Overpairs are betting always.
