As a libertarian socialist, I see rightists who tolerate that totalitarian garbage in the same light as I see "leftists" willing to accomodate Stalinists, or even apologise for the atrocities of Mao and Stalin.

That being said, Musharraf has gone looney tunes because he's scared as [censored] of the growing influence of radical Islamists. Personally, I think it's better to put bullets in the back of the heads of anti-secularists than it is to accomodate them, but leaders of Islamic states have never seen it that way.
