Yes, I've encountered them. Yes, I think they're rational, but they don't give a rat's ass about their money. My own experience was at Golden Palace in a 2/4 full ring game. I had been watching this guy lag it up just to my right. Finally, I got AK and 3-bet his ass, then he capped. The flop came down 555 and we capped it. Then he kept attacking on the turn and river while I called like a little girl; he flipped over 92s and I took it down, around 8bb.
