I'm no longer a computer expert, but I have always built my own system and systems for my family members/some friends. I would say it's almost certainly a problem in one of 4 things, in order of likelihood by my opinion.
1) GRAPHICS CARD - very likely; overheating, bad drivers, something wrong with your graphics card. (most system crashes with no compatibility/direct hardware errors are a result of your graphics card/display adapter.. check into both of these)
2) CPU - it could be faulty, overclocked, or overheating.
3) MOTHERBOARD - a variety of things could be wrong, update all drivers.
4) RAM - i think this is even less likely, but same principle... if you have defective ram, I wouldn't think your comp. would behave the way it is, but it's possible.
