Get a good hook going - that's the best thing to throw in terms of accuracy and pin action.
And do it my varying your grip, lifting the ball, and keeping your arm motion the same. IOW, you can get a bigger hook by just having your index finger spread further from your middle finger.
And get your own ball....and stylin' shoes..
