Default So I spent 3 hours at the Cherokee Casino in OK last night . . .

Broke my casino virginity last night. Normally I play NL 6-max online, but I got on both the 4/8 limit and 2/5 NL list last night.

Played 3 hours of 4/8, ended up a whopping ~$30. I made some horrible mistakes, but started adjusting better towards the opponents / limit play after the first hour. Never played live, but the play reminded me of Paradise microlimit HE. Lots of calling stations, no bluffing. There was only 1 LAG / TAG at the table.

I lost a few big hands so I was surprised I still ended up at the end of the session. Had TPTK with AK vs an AA overpair LAG. Missed a nut FD and an OESFD in two very big family pots.

Rake was horrible. I think they averaged $3 / pot with a $5 cap, on top a $1 - $2 toke. Is it rude not to toke on very small pots (like 2-3 BB or smaller)?

I think after the newbie jitters wore off in 15 minutes, I got pretty bored. I definately don't think live poker is for me, but the feeling of stacking chips after winning a huge pot is irreplaceable.

Edit: Here's one hand I wonder if anyone would've played differently.

LAG raises pre-flop UTG. MP1 calls, I 3-bet, LAG caps. The only times I've seen anyone at the table do this so far has been Aces, but I could be wrong. MP1 and I call, 3 players to the flop.

Flop is J-high rainbow. LAG bets, MP1 calls, I call.

Turn is a brick, maybe a flush draw (can't remember). LAG bets, MP1 folds, I raise. LAG calls.

River is a Q, no flush. LAG checks, I check behind.

Did I mangle this hand?
