Yeah, I mean, I think you already know the answer. It's a horrible play, esp. late in a heads up situation where you can be pretty certain your opponents are playing their aces since the game is shorthanded.

QQ looks goo, but it sure isn't as pretty after the flop shows you an over. Maybe you could have been lucky, but you had to play more conservatively at that point.
