Excellent point, Clarkmeister... I suppose one concern about the casinos' attitude in this respect is "will the interest hold up"? Right now Vegas is booming, but will these (marginally) anti-consumer policies stand up if and when things slow down, and the supply of tourist dollars shrinks? I'd imagine there has to be some point on the curve when it becomes in a casino's best interest to offer better bets than the guy across the street.
