You probably are muscling around too much. Many players believe when they are a large stack it is their duty to bully the table, but there is a definite art to knowing how/when to pick your spots. To me, you're #1 priority as a large stack is to keep your large stack. This doesn't mean you can't be aggressive, but be selectively aggressive. Watch the table so you know who you can steal from and when.

My best guess without any hands is you're bullying too much and sometimes picking a fight with the wrong people (especially if they can take 50-70% of your stack). Remember that chips you lose are almost always worth more than those that you win, and be selective with your aggression and I think you'll find yourself making it much deeper into future tournaments. I would highly recommend posting some of the hands you feel like you misplayed here as well, and you'll get some excellent advice.
