Default Re: Alternative sources of cash.

There is a reason, that the best NL ring game players aren't usually the best MTT players (of course there are exceptions, so no "What about Phil Ivey!!! posts)

Personally, I used to kill the lower limit NL tables generally 50-200max on paradise and party, In the last few months I have really put in work on MTTs. Now I am barely a profitable 50max MTT player. The reasons, arent starting hands, bad reads, etc.

These are the reasons my more profitable MTT game doesnt translate into a good cash game (mid level at most..and Im drunk)

1. No one is afraid of going broke (more true online than live). Most of super-lag moves in mTTs depend on the fact that your FE is very high. In low-mid level NL, a single buy in means nothing, so FE quickly approaches zero.

2. In case you missed the last one, divide your FE by 10, always.

3.Top pair isn't that good. In MTTS, there always reaches a point where your play with KT vs AK becomes pointless(when a K flops). As big Dan says "you only have so many opportunities to accumulate chips". IMO it is better to call a raise with 67s, than AT. GENRALIZATION ALERT . In low buy in NLHE, more money is lost with TPTK than won with it.

Not that you shouldnt go fast with TPTK, but dont give opponents "your" hand range.

WOW, I am drunk, and my goal for the rest of the night is to not break everyone of my rules in the next 2 hours.

p.s. drunk 6max 25$ NL on party is more fun than should be legally aloud. EV .00001 Variance 99132793786278627826
I have won 600+ drunk and lost 300 multiple times....

Now that I mention it, I like good players..look for the longest waiting list, GL
