Some years back, I read an interview with Meryl Streep. In talking about growing up, she said that when she was in college, she thought that the real world would be much like college, with the same kind of responsibilities, attitudes, interests, etc.

She said that she was quite disappointed when she got out of college, and found that the real world was just like high school.
