Default Re: First hand, low overpair + OESD, play fast or keep the pot small?

I fold with that action, for several reasons:

1. You could easily be behind a mid pp or dumbly played big pair.
2. You're up against a flush draw a significant portion of the time...sometimes even a made str8 better than ur draw.
3. Overcards can bust you here on the turn as it will be hard to get away from a big, built-up pot.

I don't think there are enough chips at stake here with two players already showing interest. Since everyone has such shallow stacks I just let this hand go...also, as far as 77 unimproved being the best hand, your reverse-implied odds aren't so hot and I don't really wanna be up against at worst a hand here with tons of outs that will cripple or take my stack.

When I play 77 it's to flop a set and extract maximum chips, not to try to play a tricky flop with a marginal overpair and draw...

Ugh...I gotta stop, I'm not supposed to be posting content and/or thinking about poker.
