Yeah, it gets annoying sometimes. Now adays I just wait until the special/collectors edition is out unless I can find the movie somewhere really cheap (less than ten bucks).
It's funny you mention Kill Bill, 'cause I've been avoiding buying both episodes for $7.50 each at Target waiting for the combined version...and now the Target ones have jumped up to like $14 each.
