So AF = 2.5 is fairly aggressive? What's the high end where you saying he's LAGGY and probably bluffing a lot? >3? >4? What's the highest you guys have seen via PT?

Just trying to get a feel for range here..

2.5 is quite aggressive. If it hits 3 you've got someone who is betting and raising a lot of marginal hands and making some bluffs unless he's on a really great run of cards. This player is probably either really good or really bad and it is very important to figure out which. If their VP$IP is something like 16-24 then they're probably really good even if they are perhaps a little over-agressive. What this means is you need to be prepared to go all the way with your hand since this player is going to be betting their marginal hands and you won't be able to fold your top pair even if the board gets a little scary since your opponent is not likely to stop betting. When he doesn't have it you'll make extra money and unfortunately when he does you'll find yourself paying him off. But that's what aggressive players do.

If the AF is anywhere close to 4 after you've recorded a lot of hands on the player I think you're looking at a maniac. I simply don't see how you can have an AF of 4 unless you are basically playing raise/fold.
