Re: Sunday Tourney on Stars - Join the Fun!
So some of the usual "Sunday Tourney" suspects asked me to update them on how I did in the NEPC main event at Foxwoods, which I had gained entry for via an Act III super sat. I got bumped out late Saturday (somewhere around 100-110 out of 397) when I pushed with A,Qs from the cut-off, and was called by the button with pockets J's, and the BB with pocket K's. Bad time to push!
I was way too tight and never did get a good hand paid off. Unlike the internet, I couldn't sit back and wait for monsters, then double up. These guys just got the hell out of my way when I raised, and let the blinds and anti's wear me down.
The sat's leading up to this tourney (I played through an Act I,II, and III to make it) were my first live poker experience, and I've only been playing for just over 3 months, so I cannot complain. I had a great time, and got to play with Raymer in the Act III.
