I'm surprised no one has mentioned the two other players yet to act behind me.
When Villain checkraised I put him on QJ - but KT and T9 were possible in my mind. Since he was relatively short, I didn't want to just call and:
1) give the other two opponents better odds to stay in the hand and chase their straight draw (if they happened to be on one)
2) be put in a tough spot if an A, Q, J, or 9 fell on the turn.
I figured the pot would be big enough at that point where I'd have a hard time folding to an all-in by Villian anyway so I just pushed.
What bothered me after the hand is that checkraising 3 people on that board shows a lot of aggression - even for Villain.
