Default Re: Computer freezes momentarily after closing party/empire windows.

Oh, yes, yes, yes. It freezes when I close any of the window with the upper right x button, or when I minimize it with the _ button. Very annoying. I learned to close them with the Close or Exit buttons, and to minimize them by clicking on the taskbar, but the Buddy list window does not have Close button.

It started a few months ago. Then the phenomenon suddenly vanished, but a few weeks ago this damn thing began to get on my nerves again . I wrote to the Party support, got this letter:

"Please follow the below given procedure to delete cookies and temporary internet files:

1. Click on the Start button, click on Settings and then click on Control Panel. 2. Double click on Internet Options icon in your Control Panel. 3. Click the General tab, and then under Temporary Internet files, click Delete Files. 4. In the Delete Files dialog box, click to select the Delete all offline content check box if you want to delete all Web page content that you have made available offline. 5. In the Temporary Internet Files section, click Delete Cookies, click OK, and then click OK again.

Note: If the Temporary Internet Files folder contains a significant amount of Web page content, this process may take several minutes to complete.

If you have a dial up connection, which is the minimum requirement, you may wish to upgrade to a cable or a fixed line Internet connection that will minimize the chances of disconnections."

I did as he told, but did not help (and I have broadband connection). I think he did not understand my problem.

When I am playing multitables, it even get worse, freezing for even 1-2 minutes. Buddy list is unusable for me

If anybody knows the solution, please, PLEASE post it!
