I think “to aggressive” is all perspective of how long you want the event to be, do you want multiple tournaments or a cash game after the first one, do you want best players to hit the final table on a more regular basis, etc.

We play:

This makes for a 7-10 hour game, with ppl out enough to get a late night cash game started. It also insures the better players make it to the money more often than the lesser. It also works well with a 3 color denom pulling in the last two colors at the final table. With the numbers being easy to work with and remember for everyone, no real oddball 2nd digits.
