But note that the player has many options that the dealer does not, that gives the player an advantage. Such as 3:2 on blackjack, doubling the bet, spliting a pair, stop taking cards before reaching 17. But the fact that the dealer goes second overcomes all these "advantages" that the player has. Hence the -EV for the player.
