my insight is that your figuring is fundamentally flawed. gas costs what it costs due to what the market determines. this is somewhat fueled and controled by OPEC and the non OPEC exporting country's. however, in the end, the market decides the price. right NOW gas is not rare, in the future it may become so, however, for the time being, its plentiful, thus, cheap.
