For a raise to be action the raiser has to raise at least as much as the last bet or raise. Ie....$50 bet, at least a $50 raise.

As far as exposing cards.....remember a live game is NOT a tournament. I have exposed cards MANY times in a live game to try and get a reaction. The ruling (except for maybe a few places I don't know about) is completely different in a live game than in a tournament. I laugh when two players are allin in a live game and everyone tells them they must turn their cards face up. I'll turn my cards up if I want to and only at the end of the hand. So many people think tournament rules apply to live games. Television!
