Default Re: Playing with sizable money feels stressfull sometime

I'm a futures trader for a proprietary trading firm in Chicago. I'm glad to hear people pointing out the parallels between the psychological aspects of poker and trading. The similarities are pretty unbelievable, not too many people are aware of this: in both 'jobs', I make split-second decisions based on probabilities by clicking on a screen all day long, as I'm in and out of the market anywhere from 30-100 times a day. Obviously you see the resemblance. I'm sure the people that read this either simply won't believe it or will be intrigued by it, but there are some guys here that have made $2 million plus this year with relatively low downswings. They never have losing months and make money on probably 65-70% of their days. It's basically a fantasy world.

I came to poker from day trading the stock markets. An important aspect of trading, like poker, is minimizing your losses.

I wonder how many of us there are here?
