Default Re: How many arabs killed by Americans?

I think you have to consider how many Iraqis and Afghanis are alive today who would not be had we done nothing. Saddam and the Taliban were actively killing people in their countries year after year.

Do you really believe that? Have any data to support your beliefs?

[/ QUOTE ]

You can not with certainty identify who would have died in the last two years under Saddam, since history has taken a different course, but you are fooling yourself if you think after decades of mass murder, he would have stopped or even slowed down. You wouldn't trust my numbers anyway. If you care about life so much, look up how many Saddam has killed while he was in power, and be appreciative that he can no longer continue his murders.

Would you support France, Germany or China invading Sudan, Rwanda or Saudi Arabia for example?

[/ QUOTE ]

Not without a good reason, but this wasn't the issue of your OP, and the US did not go into Iraq to save people from being killed by Saddam. But we must not overlook this positive side effect of our deposing his government. The people of Iraq know that we have saved more lives than we have taken, and when you consider that Saddam and his sons could have remained in power for decades of more killing, the numbers saved over the decades will be HUGE. Thanks to the US. If you truly relish allowing people to live, you will thank the US every day for Iraqi lives saved.
