This assumption is retarded. If the average pot size at your table is 4BB, you need to get up and move.
At a 5/10 table, 8BB is probably a more accurate average pot size, in which case you're always getting capped at the $5 rake. Add in an extra dollar per pot for the dealer, and that's $600 per 100 hands. My PT stats say I win about 6% of all hands I'm dealt, which means I pay $36/100 in rake. That's 3.6BB/100.
Again checking PT, I paid Party about 3BB/100 in rake. That's a B&M premium of 0.6BB/100, and should be beatable by a good player.
