Default Re: Basic Stud Hi/Lo starting hand question

Texas:

all 3 of these hands are playable under the right circumstances, akq is a good hand if you can play it vs the bring in and a weak limper, otherwise toss it. kk4 and qqj can stand a little more, action but are still best fs the bring in and 1-2 weak limpers. these hands should often be mucked if there is alot of action. aa4 is a strong hand and is nearly always playable in my book. note that in stud 8 looking at the cards that are out against you is almost as important as looking at your own cards when determining if a hand is playable on 3rd street.
