Default Re: TPTK in table that is breaking up (short handed)

Typically in this situation I'm calling down. Some of the time villain cold-called with 88 and you're going to lose, but many players feel that it's good to fire chips with both hands when the table is shorthanded. Against these players (ones who have high vp$ip and postflop aggression) I'm calling down and expecting to be shown J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] or even less.
I don't feel you're winning this hand very often, but since you're out of position, the check/calldown is an OK tactic against an aggressive opponent. Either he'll keep betting a worse hand, or you'll lose the least to a set/2pair.

If you did lose, hope villain stays around a while longer. Shorthanded full tables are some of the most profitable situations you can come across, though super-aggression will cause ups & downs.
