Default Re: poker books

I wouldnt focus on learning Low-limit alone. Learning the concepts of the game and how to properly think like a poker player will be more helpful in the long run. I would start with

Winning Low limit HOldem

then play about 10k worth of hands and see how its helped your game. From there move on to

Theory of Poker

which will explain the game to you. I know im probably going to get flammed for recommending TOP to a newbie but it helped me a lot when I first started. Play another 10k worth of hands and see what you have learned from top. Once you have done that pickup

Small Stakes Holdem

so that you can tune your Lowlimit skills to the lowlimit style of play thats out there right now. This book along with TOP will improve your game quite a bit. After you have read all three books. Go back and STUDY the theory of poker as well as small stakes holdem. Re-read them and post questions on the stuff that wasnt very clear. The people on this site will be more than happy to help.
