I think there will generally be more action at Sam's town and the Grand during the January tournaments.
There are so many poker players running around all over Tunica that some of the extra players should spill-over to other places when the wait-lists at the Shoe (and maybe at the Gold Strike) get really long during the prime-hours.
Regarding getting a room. You may want to try the Grand as a previous poster was able to get a room there when the H.S. and Gold Strike were sold out.
Or you can try at some of the other casino/hotels in the area....but I wouldn't be too confident about your chances of getting a cheapo poker-player discount room-rate or anything like that at the Grand or anywhere else.
On another note - Does anyone here think we have too many Tunica threads going?? I hate feeling like we are taking over the B&M forum.
Tunica is the only place I play and even I think we have too many of these things going.
Nobody's fault specifically of course. And I guess there is naturally going to be added chat about it because more people are coming in for the WPO.
