Default Re: Limit Holdem: raising all ins & HU caps - very basic stuff

Thanks for the reply. Just to be clear; $3/$6, 4th street, UTG is first to act and OPENS with $1 (all-in). I'm next. I can make it $7 to go?

This exact situation occurred a couple weeks ago at the Taj. I wanted to make it $7 (dealer initially agreed with me), but the "table expert" told me I couldn't. We argued for a minute, then called the floor. Floor said I had to call or complete to $6; I could only bring it to the next level if it was opened with at least half the big bet.

At the end of the day, it was only $1 (4 people in the pot though), but I really thought the floor was wrong. Maybe it's a house thing. I'm going to ask next time I'm there.

A tip for anyone who cares: there's no better way to give your hand away than to argue vehemently over a $1 raise.
