Default Give me some old-school white people music recs

See, I've been a rap/hiphop fan my whole life (which, granted, hasn't been THAT long). But nowadays I find myself disillusioned with the scene, as I find that fewer and fewer artists are putting out really good stuff. In fact, 99% of the rap/hiphop on the radio is truly unlistenable.

But I'm a big music fan, and I was sick of hearing my same music over and over, so I decided to branch out.... and I've found that old soft-rock (or what I used to refer to as 'old white people music') really tickles my fancy.

Right now, I'm currently listening to the greatest hits cds of the following artists/groups:

The Eagles
Hall & Oates
The Doobie Brothers
Chicago (their earlier stuff (which is flat-out fantastic), not their smarmy 80's power ballad stuff)
Simon & Garfunkel
The Beatles

Hopefully that should kind of give you a vague idea of the kind of music I'm liking. I really like a good melody and nice instrumentals. I don't like the hard-rock stuff. The problem now is that I'm kinda running out of more stuff to listen to. So please, suggest away.
