Its still insignificant information. If you really want to go pro post some hands, pokertracker stats, etc.

Then people will have a better idea where you are at and give you decent advice.

You've got to remember he's not turning pro in the real sense of the word. He lives at home with very little expenses, and if he goes bust there's really no harm. This is the perfect time in his life for the guy to take a shot. There's no family to worry about, no rent to pay (unless he throws some money to his folks), and he's not gonna starve. If it doesn't work out, so what?
