i think, if i remember rightly, i chose to push for a couple of reasons. to establish my dominance; ie dont limp into me or ill bet big. it also has the effect of looking like i have a vulnerable hand thats pretty and i want to either end the hand now or play for it all. the other point ot note is that short stack has 900 beyond the 200BB, so by calling the SB, its a 600 pot with 900 on top. 2.66:1 pot odds. of course i didnt think hed go into this depth of thinking (i didnt get the pot odds down to ~2:1 at the time as i played the hand fairly quickly. however if he though about it, this was his best oportunity to get back in the game. to run against my 'AJ/AQ'.

of course his odds of winning were a touch worse than 2.66:1 but how was he to know

as for the 99 hand, i cant say i agree with you here.

id be risking 1105 to win a further 100 on my stack. at this stage in the game i dont think the risk/reward justifies the move. however im willing to hear who thinks this is wrong.

as for the TT hand. i considered betting the turn, however i was more willing to see what the guy following me had to say and take the river. again, i dont think the risk/reward justify a raise at this point. im willing to check/call it down. maybe this is weak/tight, ill have to ponder that one.

what do you think of the river check? my thinking was he showed a little strength, if he has something he'll 'value' bet me, if he doesnt he'll bluff me. i didnt see what betting here would achieve other than showing ive hit something. i considered the check trap a better move. anyone disagree?

Again, another overall great performance. You're well on your way to becoming a full-time SNG pro!

i like this quote , what i would say is that whilst ive played only two SnGs at party, ive been playing them on and off (more on recently) for over two years. im now on a case of bottom up graduating through the levels.

the 10s are where i want to get used to the structure, its the 20s where i want to move into when i feel comfortable at party (but ive got enough self control that if im not feeling reading im not moving up).
