why do we think it's okay to make racial jokes on an anonymous online poker chat, but none of us will do it in public at a live game?

What, you never heard someone make racial slurs or tell a racial joke in public or in a live poker game? I've certainly heard it plenty of times. You've never heard this kind of thing in a bar. I have.

The reason many people won't make these type jokes in a live game is obvious.

You people have called Grandgnu, a douchebag, an idiot, a moron, etc. in this thread. Somehow I doubt you'd be willing to say those things to his face if you ran into him on the street. (Although he's admittedly only 5'1 so maybe that's a bad example, ROR)

Feel free to call me an idiot, a moron, an [censored], a pot-bellied drunken Irishman or whatever else you can come up with in response to this post. I'm sure you'd be just as quick to get in my face and say it if we ever ran into eachother.
