Default Re: How much do you tip the dealers when you win a tourney?

Greg Raymer posted another way to calculate a tip.

Start with what you think is a fare wag for the dealers.
It is up to you. For simplicity I'm going to use $1/hour.

Then estimate the number of dealer-hours. For example, a 5 table that lasts 5 hours might have 15 dealer-hours. 1 hour at 5 tables, 1 hour at 4, 1 hour at 3, 1 at 2 , 1 at 1.

For the dealers to make $1/hour, they need to make $15.
You should pay your percentage of $15, based on the percent of the prize pool you won. If you won 25%, then your share is $3.75.

Notice, no where in here did I mention how much you won. For small tourneys the percentage of your win will be larger than in large ones, but this method always give the dealers a fair shake. (Provided of course that you use a better rate than $1/hour )
