10/20 limit - totally lost in the Wynn mixed game
Played in the 10/20 mixed game at the Wynn yesterday for kicks. I don't really know how to play O/8, so even basic comments would be appreciated. Please use simple words that even a hold'em player...

Re: Michigan (Detroit area) Casinos?
Greektown's smoky and dirty as hell, but the players suck. No limit above 5/10 usually, maybe 10/20 if you're lucky. I think the floor said a 20/40 goes on Tuesdays. There's a 10/25 PLO game that...

Regular had 99. I was stunned that he limped preflop and considered folding the turn. He was stunned that I 3-bet the turn.
In retrospect, I'm actually not doing great against his range of turn...

Minor spewage with KJo
20/40 live game. Table is built around this really, really horrible guy. Basically he limps every hand, the first guy with some semblance of a hand raises, and then everyone else decides if they...

Re: Who decides first, straddler or poster?
CO is actually the one who needed to be kicked in the nuts - UTG was reasonable about the whole thing. This was just something that came to mind while we were pondering how the floor butchered the...

Who decides first, straddler or poster?
Situation: some guy's been away from the table and posts both blinds in the CO. UTG sees this and decides to straddle. CO now decides he doesn't want to post if UTG is going to straddle. UTG then...

Re: palace club in hawyard, ca
Last time I went there a couple months ago, they said the PLO game didn't go any more. The NL game was pretty sick, though.

Re: Artichoke Joe\'s v. Lucky Chances
The 15/30 at AJ's is consistently one of the softest mid limit games in the Bay Area. It's also slow (no shuffle machines, annoying rake structure where the dealer needs to make lots of change, and...

Re: \"Check out\"
No. Suppose you're first to act with two players behind you. You check out, player 2 checks. Now player 3 can bet knowing that you will neither call nor check-raise him, giving him an advantage...

Two floor decisions
Two odd situations from the Bellagio 30/60. First one, CO is in the 1 seat, button in the 2 seat. CO is grabbing his first card when it comes to protect it, and sort of covering it with his hand. ...

Re: $20/40 Bay 101 or Garden City?
I've played in some truly atrocious games at Garden City. Chopped 3-4 times/orbit, that kind of thing. Usually the game's pretty good, though. The Bay 101 game has been consistently not crappy for...

Re: Pushing that Ace.....
I generally raise ATs in any unraised pot.
If CO's not a lunatic, call and fold the turn unimproved.

Re: K3 s0000ted... spewing chips or classic SSH?
It's not really semi-late position when you claim that people are going to limp after you. Limping Kxs after 3 or 4 limpers is much different than limping Kxs early, even with a guarantee that...

Party 15 KK unimproved vs 4 opponents
I've been at the table for maybe 15 minutes. Preflop raiser seems reasonable. UTG+2 is really loose and passive preflop, mostly just passive postflop. SB is pretty LAG when he's the first one in,...

Re: Oaks 30-60 Game
The game nearly broke around 8, though. It got down to 3-handed for about half an hour before starting to fill up again. Looks like the locals don't like to play 5-handed or less. It was full up...

Re: how well/poorly did i play this?
Where's the preflop raise?
From the flop onwards, I'm capping every street if possible. If my top boat loses to quads, well, that's just too bad.

Re: Small Overpair on the flop
I generally raise 99 UTG. Given that you didn't, I'd be more inclined to try to check-raise the flop acting second out of six players. Once you bet-3-bet the flop, I like betting the turn and river.

Re: 2 hands for critique
Hand 1: I've been known to raise 3 limpers and a poster preflop in that position before. I'd cap the flop pretty much every time with 4 opponents in. Even if you fold both BB and UTG+1, you're...
