I'm am trying the hardest I can to explain to one of my best friends how multi-tabling is SO much better than playing just one table.

First, he says you won't have the focus or ability to read. ...

Re: Play a Hand With the Masters #2 Results and Panel Comments

Not saying that I would fold the flop after his check raise...but, how many times have you seen these players check the nuts on the flop, and raise precisely double your bet? I've seen it enough...

Re: THE book (Theory of Poker)

Thanks folks. It's funny, because you are all addressing things that I was hoping to hear. I think, mentally, you have to come at the game from playing many hands correctly regardless of outcome. ...

THE book (Theory of Poker)

Why is this such a substantial book, and do you think it would help people that are playing lower level sng's and tournies to build their bankroll (since they would be playing against people who...

Re: Pot Committed is a highly overrated concept.

You use the word "you" a lot in your response. However, you're not going to find me calling someone when I know I'm beat because I'm pot-committed. I see no reason to have an absolute rule like...

Pot Committed is a highly overrated concept.

Wrong or right? I think in NLHE tournies, it's highly overrated. Let's say you have KK, and you raise, and a very loose player calls. From experience, you know he'll play Ax to the bitter end on...

I think Phil would be correct in saying that in the arena we most often seeing him play in (NLHE tourney). In ring (cash) games, my opinion is that math is extremely important. But, in an arena...

Re: Where\'s the logic (SNG\'s)

What reason would you have for not wanting to get a player out? To me, if a short stack is all in, and me and another player call, the chips I win are not near as substantial as getting a player out...

Re: Where\'s the logic (SNG\'s)

Often times I see people do the things you describe yourself as doing. Instead of checking down, they bet big with one pair, and the small stack wins.

Re: Poll: Calling standards on bubble when BB will be all in next hand.

I have absolutely no problem sounding weaker than weak when I say I would fold them all. Yes, even KK. The guy putting me all in could have an ace, and hit it. I've placed in the money so many...
